The issues aren't exclusive to AE. Users get all sorts of issues with PS, AI, ID as well and of course for many CC users it begins with good old AAM burping... But hey, what else is new?

There have been no reported issues with the After Effects CS6 (11.0.3) update for Mavericks, and the only repeated issue with After Effects CC (12.0.1) is with people trying to patch a trial version.
There are a few (very few) cases in which a person has needed to either sign out of and back into Creative Cloud or uninstall and reinstall After Effects CC (12.0) to get the 12.0.1 patch to be applied. These seem to be related to the trial issue.
There have been many, many thousands of downloads of the patches, and only a small number of problems.

Apparently no major Adobe program in CS6 and CC versions works without issues or not at all despite alleged compatibilty updates. Forums are full with complaints...
