| This isn't exactly an Ae problem, but I installed 10.9 on an old Lion clone that I had attached via FW800. The update took OK, but when I finally got back to the Finder, my internal SSD was GONE. I couldn't see it to mount in Disk Utility, Drive Genius, Disk Warrior or System Toolkit. It's like it doesn't exist. This is in a 2008 MacPro3,1. So… I mounted the above clone disk in my tower, and changed my SSD (10.8.5) from Slot 2 to Slot 1 (trying to eliminate the drive bus as the issue). The clone disk has two partitions: one is a clone of the SSD, which I cloned right before installing 10.9 on the other partition. It seems a bit too coincidental that I'd have a massive SSD failure at the exact moment I was upgrading another attached drive. I'm wondering if the brain trust here has a theory on what went wrong. I can't think of a way to force my SSD to mount, or show up on my list of drives in any of my utilities. It doesn't show up in System Report>SATA either. It appears to be totally dead. Jim C. . |
