I removed it from the MacPro sled, and plugged it into my SATA to FW = adaptor, and tried mounting it on my laptop and my desktop. The disk = still didn't show up on the desktop or through any of my utilities on = either computer. So, I took the SSD out of the ICY DOCK, and mounted it in my SATA to FW = adaptor. It still doesn't mount, so I presume the SSD had a massive = failure. I'm wondering if that's normal behavior for a bad SSD: to just stop = working or showing up anywhere. I thought all drives had some firmware = that at least would provide some manufacturing data that would show up = in System Info/Profiler. It's no more than two months old. This was an OWC SSD, supposedly the most reliable brand available, = according to OWC. Well, at least it's in warranty.
