I've got a relatively simple yet aggravatingly long to render AE 
project. The render seems to hang for quite a while on the "transform & 
compositing" phase of the comp and I'm trying to figure out why. To 
describe it simply, it's one of those "zoom into location using 
satellite photography from space" shots. Most of the shots used in this 
are about 2K resolution, being placed in a 1080p final comp. This 
features pictures placed on top of one another using a camera to zoom 
into the final location in 3D space. What should take about 5 minutes or 
so is taking 30-40 minutes. Here's the system specs.

Intel i7 980x
24GB DDR 3 Ram
Nvidia GTX 580 1.5 GB Video Card
120GB Cache drive
Windows 7 Pro 64
source media is on striped USB 3 volume.

Any ideas here?
