So this is interesting - I am running an after effects based class at a
local university, and I'm reviving old lectures I haven't touched in a
very, very long time.  I think the last AE class I ran was 2003 or 2004, so
they all seem to be on AE v6.0

New class is CS6 based.  How best to convert these projects?  I can rebuild
them to an extent but some of them have tedious masking and tracking in
there.

I might be able to revive an old laptop that might have AE 7.  Which can
probably open a 6.0 file - but how to scale that on up to CS6 seems like it
would take all of the in-between versions.

Is it a lost cause?
