Settings such as preferences and workspaces do not automatically migrate from After Effects CC (12.0) to After Effects CC (12.1). We started work on a feature to do so, but this work was displaced by other more urgent bug fixes. I’m working now on a blog post describing how you can copy some (but not all) of the settings files from the 12.0 folder to the 12.1 folder. (Yes, your 12.0 folder is still there, untouched.) I am very particular about my workspace setup for workflow speed, with lots of custom docked scripts and tweaked toolbars and buttons. After the new AE update they are reset to defaults. I don't see how to get back my custom workspaces either. I will put in a feature request but wouldn't it make sense to have workspaces synced through the cloud as well as prefs? Anybody else annoyed by that? Or was that a glitch? -TG
