Would be great for this to happen. I work with 3 screens and use AE on 2, but sometimes I'm on my laptop and when I save off the laptop and open on the desktop, I have to reapply my workspace. It only takes a second, but still. I used to have other people complain because they couldn't find some of the windows I had open since they were separate and got hidden from the main interface.
Also, would be interesting to see what everyone else's workspaces look like. Gonna start a new topic just to discuss that.

I don't know if this is related put I hate when I open someone else's project only to find that AE grabs there timeline set up and doesn't automatically make my preferred timeline set up the default - wouldn't it be cool if you could open a project and open your settings and every project you opened conformed to how you like things set - including timelines, workspaces etc... (kinda like AVID) but I wouldn't want to take that too far, there a lot not to like about AVIDs. but personal settings might be nice.

Arghgh. I am very particular about my workspace setup for workflow speed, with lots of custom docked scripts and tweaked toolbars and buttons. After the new AE update they are reset to defaults. I don't see how to get back my custom workspaces either.
I will put in a feature request but wouldn't it make sense to have workspaces synced through the cloud as well as prefs? Anybody else annoyed by that? Or was that a glitch?
