"ADAGIO IN SPACE" Kickstarter launches today!

Today 11.12.13 is a special day. NASA released an amazing mosaic of Earth "in Saturn's Rings" from the "Wave at Saturn" today (see below). This is the photograph that will be on screen when "Adagio for Strings" reaches its dramatic climax. This photograph is where the title of the film comes from. How perfect is that?

 

Today I've launched a Kickstarter to fund something that will take In Saturn's Rings to new levels - A live new orchestral recording will help the film be seen much more widely around the world!

 

My hometown Greensboro Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Music Director Dmitry Sitkovetsky who played "Adagio for Strings" for Samuel Barber, will record two new versions of Barber's masterpiece "Adagio for Strings" - the music I used in the first footage that went viral that brought many of you to the film as fans, volunteers and donors.

 

But it will only happen if we raise the full amount on Kickstarter. Please support this amazing effort to give "real photographs real music". Share, tweet and spread the word.

You have new wallpaper. This is the amazing mosaic of 131 photographs taken by the Cassini Spacecraft on July 13th - hopefully you were one of the people on Earth waving to Cassini. In this photo is Earth, our Moon, Venus, Mars and much more. This mosaic will be the highlight image in the film!
