How can i have a 3d layer orient in the same direction as a camera, and not look at the camera as the built in function does, im trying to have the layer point in the same parrallel way as the direction of the camera to its target. I think i need to get the vector from the camera to its parent and somehow use that in the orientation on the layer i want to rotate? I have also tried to parent a null to the camera, and tried to get the de-parented orientation of the null and link that to the layer, but i neither can get that to work in any useful way. i guess im a bit lost on how to get this to work. This 3d rotation stuff i have never really gotten figured out. Any one out there with some good hints? - Robert --047d7bd6ae8c89c44704eb7a94f1 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
Hi

I cant seem to get my head around something that ougth = to be quite simple.

How can i have a 3d layer orie= nt in the same direction as a camera, and not look at the camera as the bui= lt in function does, im trying to have the layer point in the same parralle= l way as the direction of the camera to its target.

I think i need to get the vector from the camera to its= parent and somehow use that in the orientation on the layer i want to rota= te?=A0
I have also tried to parent a null to the camera, and trie= d to get the de-parented orientation of the null and link that to the layer= , but i neither can get that to work in any useful way.

i guess im a bit lost on how to get this to work. This = 3d rotation stuff i have never really gotten figured out.=A0

Any one out there with some good hints?
