Hi = everyone,

Can anyone point me to a good example of a video where = the editor uses cross dissolves on a series of "character = poses" in order to make the character come to life? I'm working = with "isolated" people (backgrounds removed) for an eLearning = project. Some characters have associated brief video clips with them, = say, actively pointing off to the side, but most characters only have = still images. Just doing a "jump cut" with the still = characters is getting old.

I remember a = number of years back there was a FastSign commercial on television that = used this technique using cross dissolves, but I can't find it anywhere = on their YouTube channel. I am hoping to create more movement within my = project using dissolves and some cuts, but don't want to call too much = attention to the transitions (which I think was the case in the = commercial but I could be wrong) because I don't want to take away from = the scenario and the actual eLearning content.

My projects = are created in Captivate, and I dearly miss the keyframing and precision = control. Since I’m only exporting video from Captivate anyway, I = can move to Premiere or, if one can suggest a better effect to use = within it, AE.

I hope I = explained my situation correctly. Any tips, examples, techniques, etc. = would be appreciated. Thank you,

Mary = Anne
