The McAfee program bundled is Windows-only, although I'm sure McAfee does make a Mac Antivirus program.

Java (Sun) does the same thing and actually numerous other apps. I
agree, it’s a sucky practice.

I know this isn't an AE post but I don't subscribe to any Flash lists.
So, the latest Flashupdate installed MacAfee Scan Plus (or some
such), and I did not even notice an option to opt out. This is bad
practice, Adobe (waggles finger).
