Hmmpph. I just spent a painful hour trying (and failing) to get PP CS3 to open. It launches to the 'welcome' screen, but will crash when opening or creating a project. The only difference between today and last week when it worked with no flaw, is that I just reinstalled all my DE plug-ins (Delirium, Berserk, Camera...etc....). I tried to locate the offending plug-in, but thanks to Adobe's arcane plug-in system for Premier, and the fact there is no Uninstaller for DE, I have not solved the problem.

I pulled the plug-ins from:
Library/AppSupport/Adobe/CS3/Common
Premier/Package Contents/Content/Plug-ins

 and deleted both preference files
Library/"Preferences
~User/Library/AppSupport/Adobe/Premier

MacOSX 10.6.8

I just reinstalled everything from scratch, and DO NOT want to have to go through all that again. Wits end approaches. Any ideas?

cheers

[PS] as far as I know AE just puts its plug-in into the AfterEffects/Plug-ins folder. Why is is so hard for Premier to follow this paradigm, why are there plug-ins scattered all over the system? Also, how do I prevent an install of my AE plug-ins from interfering with my Premier install?
