Nice work Brian, thanks for sharing. Some really good uses for Element I can see. 

From the tutorials on VCP it seems to be really quite responsive for what it does. And even for 3D text it seems at face value a better option than the ray traced option in CS6. I've used the 3D ray tracing in CS6 at work and its pathetically slow to the point of being unusable. If Element is as good as it seems it would be a far better and more affordable solution. I dont think true ray tracing is a deal breaker when the environment mapping looks so good.

and the titles for a documentary I worked on earlier this year. The goal was to come up with titles that look like they were of the era. I don't know that we quite hit it, but I like hte look. 


It's a pretty versatile little plugin. Sometimes it's a bit buggy, but I'm thankful I have it in my arsenal.

Out of curiosity, what kind of real world everyday projects have folks used Element on. For the type of corporate/industrial work I do I'm not sure I could squeeze 3D particles in there. The VCP reel for Element looks lovely, but it doesn't venture far beyond military aircraft and morphing spheres.

I have both, and I use OF much more than Element.  But, I think what's best for you depends on what your needs are.  Some people put flares on everything, including Element; but you'd rarely hear the reverse of that, I'd think.
