Jim, that's sort of the only alternative, which is ok, except my co-working client is grabbing frames as soon as they are rendered to use in his work. Late game rush tactics. It surprises me that this isn't possible in AE. 3d programs have had this option for a long time. It would be nice to just be able to setup a comma separated list like C4D. Like: 200-400, 352-390, 512, 735-800 I know it's not often this comes up for some people, but I had just figured it was a given that people may need to render different ranges of the same comp with the same file name per frame. ///Greg Balint //Art Director / Motion Graphics Designer /321.514.4839 delRAZOR.com/ On Dec 6, 2013 3:11 PM, "Lloyd Alvarez" wrote: > Hey Greg, > > You can use this: http://aescripts.com/queue-work-area > > > On Fri, Dec 6, 2013 at 3:05 PM, Greg Balint wrote: > >> It's a sequence. Phil,

The sequence is already rendered..=A0 Client keeps making ch= anges to certain stuff. It takes forever to render so I'm trying to cut= my amount down. Would hate to have to go in and remove frames over and ove= r for every change we make.

Lloyd,

That script would be nice,=A0 but the problem is not the set= up,=A0 it's that AE thinks I'm rendering to the same file and won&#= 39;t allow it,=A0 even though it's a sequence with file numbers appende= d.

Jim,=A0 that's sort of the only alternative,=A0 which is= ok,=A0 except my co-working client is grabbing frames as soon as they are = rendered to use in his work. Late game rush tactics.

It surprises me that this isn't possible in AE.=A0 3d pr= ograms have had this option for a long time. It would be nice to just be ab= le to setup a comma separated list like C4D. Like:

200-400, 352-390, 512, 735-800

I know it's not often this comes up for some people,=A0 = but I had just figured it was a given that people may need to render differ= ent ranges of the same comp with the same file name per frame.

What I mean is,=A0 I need to render frames 272-500 and frame= s 762-914 and then 1543-1700.

I figured multiple entries in the render queue would be fine= ,=A0 but AE doesn't like having multiple render items with same names (= even if they will have different frame numbers appended to them)

I couldn't even just deactivate the other ones. I had to= remove them completely for my first range to start rendering.
