Phil,
The sequence is already rendered.. Client keeps making changes to certain stuff. It takes forever to render so I'm trying to cut my amount down. Would hate to have to go in and remove frames over and over for every change we make.
Lloyd,
That script would be nice, but the problem is not the setup, it's that AE thinks I'm rendering to the same file and won't allow it, even though it's a sequence with file numbers appended.
Jim, that's sort of the only alternative, which is ok, except my co-working client is grabbing frames as soon as they are rendered to use in his work. Late game rush tactics.
It surprises me that this isn't possible in AE. 3d programs have had this option for a long time. It would be nice to just be able to setup a comma separated list like C4D. Like:
200-400, 352-390, 512, 735-800
I know it's not often this comes up for some people, but I had just figured it was a given that people may need to render different ranges of the same comp with the same file name per frame.
