I never knew such a shortcut existed. I can't reproduc= e what you're talking about with either type layers or shape layers. I = was able to do so on an AI layer.

All of a sudden I've realised that double clicking a mask tool for a ty= pe layer isn't giving me a type layer sized mask. I get a comp sized ma= sk - albeit centred on my type.

'Mask at layer size' works as expected if I double click the mask t= ool with any other type of layer.

Investigating further I now get the same behaviour on 5.5, 6 and CC - all i= nstalled on this machine.

So I guess it's a system or font related issue - Win 7 64.

Anyone ever seen anything like this? Or have I missed something, or...
