Double-click =20= a mask tool and it creates a mask fit to the size of the bounding =20 box of the text layer. Super quick and easy. Not sure why you are =20 getting bad results Mike. Perhaps text is set to paragraph text or =20 something? Is there a way to reset default text settings, as AE =20 remembers the last setting you used?
