I am having a call soon about a project on-site in London, UK.

I work on a per project basis so I don’t have an hourly or day rate.

don't you estimate your hrs for a project and say H hrs X R rate = what I should charge ? therefore you should be able to do the reverse math and figure out what your hourly is.

Can anyone give me an idea please, from low to high in general for a freelancer / self employed in the industry?

$10/hr to $120/hr. depends on you, how good you are, what your client will pay, **how well ** you sell yourself.... and to a certain extent, their gear or yours

This needs to cover living costs and travel all included (I need accommodation).

bill it all out separately because it is separate when a client sends you onsite. thats standard procedure.

if you are trying to work as local, thats another thing entirely. the bigger question is how long do you expect to be there ? then figure out what makes the best sense for accommodations like long stay hotel vs renting a flat or finding a place to share with somebody.
