BTW I have just noticed that this computer seems to be turning my ellipsis (i.e. three periods) into question marks. I don't know why, but I'm not asking as many questions as it appears!

Alternatively - how about using your image as a Particular layer emitter
with your layers as the particles?
Mike A.
That's exactly the result I'm trying to get, however I want to use individual layers so that I can
a) experiment with Newton (I'm loving the demo, need an excuse to buy it)
b) can also use custom expressions on each layer
I am actually doing r&d an am comparing the results I'm getting with different methods. I'm using a lot of particular and form, but there are some things I want to try with Newton, and some things that I will only be able to do with custom expressions. In these cases I need to have individual layers?
