I have always preferred to use the Hex Value field, if = only because its easier to copy and paste the value. It=92s rare that I = need to type in separate RGB values by default (and when I do have to = type them in manually, its generally to force a 100% = white/black/gray/R/G/B value, which are easy enough to remember as hex = values), so this is a most welcome change, in my book.
