It looks effective because in the trailer the letters are revealed in a = natural order, and also because it has been composited onto the paper BG = and so everything feels integrated. If you want to play around with something more complex than a simple = gradient wipe, there's a project template linked somewhere here: = http://provideocoalition.com/czwar/video/creating-a-watercolour-wipe-in-af= ter-effects And plenty of video of me waffling on about how it all works and so on. You could download the project file, use the text as your source, an old = paper texture for your background, and have something rendered in a few = minutes that would look comparable to the video you have linked to. -Chris On 31/12/2013, at 2:04 AM, Dave wrote: > Hello All, >=20 > =46rom about 7 seconds to 8 second into the trailer below this text = appears on a document =93Follow a trail of secret letters=85=94 >=20 > =97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97 > The Room Two Trailer > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DCbGaddIZzVs > =97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97=97 >=20 > QUESTION: My question is does any one know how or can suggest an = approach that would achieve a very similar look and feel as text appears = on a document? >=20 > Thanks, >=20 > Dave >=20 >=20 > +---End of message---+ > To unsubscribe send any message to >=20
