No.

Just because it is much easier to release patches now, that doesn’t mean that it’s “free”. There’s still a lot of work involved, and we still have to thoroughly test the patch.

If there weren’t a 100%-effective workaround for this bug, we’d drop everything and rush this fix out ASAP. But there is that workaround, so we are being a bit more cautious.

Also, if we were going to break out the fixes into separate patches, this bug would not be the first one with a fix to come out. There is at least one more pressing bug, one that doesn't have the 100%-effective workaround. (There is a problem with extra frames at the end of exported videos in certain formats if audio is included; this affects ProRes .mov files with audio, for example.)
