Jim allowed me to play with Flicker Free a few days ago. I had a clip from a recent project that at the time was deemed unsavable (without serious compromise). The shot was an important soundbite (content-wise), but was shot with a phone at 30fps-- in a fluorescent lit elevator (ok, "lift") in London.
The footage was noisy as hell (underexposed), grainy, banding like crazy AND the worst flicker/hum bars I'd ever seen.
This is the sample in the Flicker Free demo reel. To say I was astounded at the results is an understatement. Only thing wrong was that I didn't have this plug in available four months ago when the project was completed.
I get bad corporate footage all the time, more so now that clients believe iPhones are acceptable high end acquisition devices. This is going to make a lot of people look much better than they have any right to. ;-)

Flicker happens due to many reasons, exposure variations, electric lights, or just old film. Flicker Free does a remarkable job handling all those situations. As with all Digital Anarchy products, we strive to create software that produces exceptional, professional results while remaining simple to use.
