Sorry to tell you, but you would need to have the discrete graphics card option in there. Intel integrated graphics cards do NOT support CUDA. That is nVidia only territory. There is no "hack" to get it to work, to my knowledge, so you'd need to use CPU. And that's probably too slow. You can extrude text and do 3D work in C4D though. I think that feature is included in C4D lite.

Hello people in the know,

I’m working on a very simple project and was going to extract some text but when I switched to Ray-Traced 3D I got an error and computer says NO.

After Effects error: Ray-traced 3D: Out of paged mapped memory for ray tracer. Your project may exceed GPU limits. Try closing other applications. Try updating the CUDA driver. ( 5070 :: 2 )

I’m only running AE and the cache folder is empty.

I have CUDA driver version 5.0.61 which is up to date. In the GPU information in the AE prefs, it says GPU not available - incompatible device or CUDA driver.

Does INTEL even support CUDA? How do I uninstall a CUDA driver?

MacBook Pro late 2012
Processor  2.9 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory  8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics  Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB
Software  OS X 10.9.1 (13B42)

Any advice here?

Thanks,
Rachel
