And as someone else said, you could add flicker back in. If that isn't exactly what you need, our RE:Match product also has the ability to match frames/luminance from another sequence. So you can add the flicker in to the "frozen" part by aligning the "flickery" part to the "frozen part" in another layer (making the flicker layer invisible) and then put RE:Match on the layer with the "frozen" part and point RE:Match Color to match the "flickery" layer. Oh, and adjust other settings to taste. There is a slight flicker in the rest of the shot that is now missing in my patch.
