Byron, have you ever had slow performance or crashes when using sample image?

I used ~ 6-10 of them to re-color some fast moving text overlays and had to remove them because of the slow response and occasional crashes (w/ CS6). I was never completely sure if it was the expression.

Here is an example of a possible workflow. It's sort of chunked together but should give you an idea.

Ah, I missed Robert's reply.

Robert, thank you for your message, I'm sorry I missed it. I'm actually interested in both adding some flicker and removing some overall flickers too. Thanks!

Wes, I was just confirming that Robert's suggestion was a good one that worked for me.

I can dig up my project if you want me to send it to you,

That's sounds interesting, Phil. I don't know what to do with that information though. ;-)

Thanks for the plug-in and other software suggestions, will investigate.

I have used the sampleImage() function to do similar things with great results.

Maybe you could use the sampleImage() command in an expression, to get some values out, from an scene sequence with some of the desired flicker.
