| I can probably answer the "which genius" part of the question by asking around here, but I suspect that you'd rather just get an answer to the question of how to import multiple pages. I don't think that there's a way that's more convenient than decomposing the PDF into multiple pages in Acrobat first. I'm going to interpret this as an implicit feature request, though, and see how hard it would be to do this.
