low tech approach... just capture the shots off the discs via component or HDMI. hopefully no copy protection to make your life more miserable. probably a HDMI->SDI converter from china for under $50 that might also strip it off if there is any. haven't tried that.. don't forget PS3 can play bluray. players are down to around $100-150 now

I'm on a Mac –Snow Leopard on one machine, Mountain Lion on another, with plenty of drive space and speed.

And it's for the filmmaker. No one seems to have access to any of this footage in video or digitally.
