I've been meaning to make up a new set of benchmarks for AE CC / C4D Cineware. That one is still fairly relevant but is over a year old and will only test your GPU. I want a series of tests that will stress multiple aspects of AE such as SSD cache times and frame retrieval, cineware rendering, element 3D rendering, RAM, CPU and GPU.

George, I have the latest MBP with the faster i7 quad core and I can tell you it's a beast. It's faster than the quad core mac mini (3.6 ghz). Don't have a comparison vs an imac but I can imagine it's pretty comparable.

And of course check out Tom's Hardware reviews, they usually have great and very detailed benchmarks on components and full machines. http://www.tomshardware.com/news/Apple-Macbook-Pro-Retina-Haswell,23479.html for example

good luck

I am looking to add a C4D/AE machine to my stable but, I want to compare performance differences between various options (iMacs vs Macpros, 4 core vs 8 core, etc). Is there a good place for AE benchmarks to compare?
