Hi Lou, I thought I share a water-setup. This was originally created for the Roland Emmerich film "Anonymous" by compositor Pieter Van Houte. He was kind enough to share the recipe and now may folks are doing water with it.
In Anonymous every bit of the water was done in Fusion, there is a long story behind it and I can't type that much. check out the youtube video on this thread Anyway check out the link, if you want I can show you how it's done. also Ronny Sousan did a breakdown of the water and wakes for Anonymous at Siggraph a couple of years ago. btw - on my crappy laptop I render water at 2 frames per second - more cores on the GPU can get 10 frames per second cheers
