The ProRes codecs in the ProApps Quicktime codecs 1.0.4 update from Apple cause QT32 Server to die. QT32 server is the component that Adobe applications use to communicate with 32-bit QuickTime to do things like decode many QuickTime movies; so, if it dies, then our applications report such errors as not being able to open a QuickTime movie.

I don't track this area quite as closely as do some of my coworkers, so I've asked them to give an update on this issue.
