my understanding of the license is that you are allowed two installs on computers that YOU legally own

basically this is for the convenience of one install on your workstation and another on say a laptop (which is a nice thing so you can work at home, on vacation, client presentation/edits etc)

legally both computers need to both be OWNED by you, otherwise you are "lending" the license to another which in nearly all license agreements is illegal and not within the agreement as you cannot "lend or borrow" etc

i'm a stickler for licenses as i've always paid for every version of every app i've used and it really does put the honest person at a disadvantage to those with looser moral judgements.

ultimately you probably could have just done it and probably nobody would have known, but you essentially just told everyone including adobe...

but no i say your request is not within the legal allowances.

HI all,

Maybe you guys have run into this before.

I own the CS6 suite, which of course allows me to install it on 2 different computers. I understand the idea is that it should only be running on one of them at a time, but I'm not sure how this is enforced when the computers are not on a network where they can communicate.

I have only installed my CS6 suite on 1 computer. Is it possible for me to install Photoshop CS6 on my fiance's computer without breaking the license?

Thanks for any info!

Sean
