OK, so I was playing around for a few minutes on on some of that drone footage from the gopro.

The wobble is much more apparent if you continue looking at it but at first glance, it is still some compelling footage.  I did however pull a track that is pretty tight.  Of course the wobble may be even more noticeable.  I made no attempt to make my object wobble, however it is locked down pretty good.

I used the AE tracker as is, no warp adjustment or anything and got fantastic track points.  Then I just tossed in an building from Element 3D, added a little Bezier to bend the building some.

Seems like you could request a sample of prior shots from the drone guy to get a sense of what shape the footage will be in?

These two examples show exactly the horrible rolling shutter wobble that David mention. You will have a horrible time stabilizing and tracking some of these, and the extreme distortion of the GoPro optic makes it a even more un-fun.

AE has a Rolling Shutter Repair effect, but i don't think it can compensate for these cases, only the usual pan shear distortion. Or? i havnt tried it myself on any of such footage actually, so i would love to be proven wrong about this.
