If you scale it by 50% then your layers would only be 25,000 px in Z = which might be more manageable. The downside is that it would actually change the comp size for = rendering too, maybe you could run the script then change the comp size = back to what it should be. You would then need to tweak your camera to make it work. Maybe worth a shot.
