If you are providing a service as a contractor then you shouldn't char= ge sales tax; you will pay taxes on the income at the end of the year.

Generally -- at least up here (in Canada) -- you need to = be both registered as a business and register for a tax number/= ID to be able to collect sales tax on products/services; otherwise, you'd= be collecting taxes and not actually remitting them anywhere, which would= be a form of fraud, I imagine.
