Rob, I'm working at a place with 2 FCP suites, one on Mavericks and one on 10.8.5. The Mavericks one has severe problems with FCP and Red Cine. In a general sense it is unstable to the point of being unusable. As I'm not a FCP editor I can't describe the exact problems but basically the system just beachballs a lot, especially when dragging footage and folders around. I don't know if it's just that one machine or if FCP in general is flaky on Mavericks, but if you rely on FCP then I'd be pretty careful and would not transition to it just yet. -Chris |
