Autodesk made a fuss about this a couple years ago when they developed new tools to make ae and max work well together.
Adobe After Effects Interoperability3ds Max artists whose creative toolsets include Adobe® After Effects® software can now enjoy a level of interoperability that sets a new standard for 2D/3D data exchange. With bidirectional support for the transfer of cameras, lights, null objects, plane objects/solids, footage (including footage layering), blend modes, opacity, and effects, artists can iterate more effectively and reduce rework to complete projects in less time.
Maybe not big enough since no kne seems to know about it but here single link I found.
There's a plug-in for max from Boomer Labs:http://www.boomerlabs.com/cart/product.php?productid=8If the artist is willing to buy it that is!CheersElliot Steele-----------------------------------------------------------------------digitalMEDIA Technik GmbHAm Berg 2091809 Wellheimtel.: 08427 985011fax: 08427 985012handy: 0172 8410163E-Mail: elliot.steele@digitalmediatechnik.dehttp://www.digitalmediatechnik.deHRB 5012, Amtsgericht IngolstadtGeschäftsführer Elliot SteeleUSt-Nr: 124/124/40585-----------------------------------------------------------------------Am 3/14/14 8:55 PM schrieb "Rob Birnholz" unter<absolutemotion@birnholz.com>:I¹m working with an artist in Germany who¹s using 3DS MAX 2013.
