My RAID has read/write speeds up to and over = 2GB/sec, depending on which test I run and with what file size. It's an = 8 x 2TB 6G/s SAS drive RAID5. I have it partitioned into (4) 3.5 TB = disks, one of which holds the caches for all my Adobe apps, and stock = libraries. So, the caches have never filled up yet. I usually dump = them when they get pretty large. I use a 500G SSD for a boot drive. I have to say that it doesn't seem = that much faster than the SATA I replace it with, as far as booting = goes.
