After updating, I got playhead freezes at certain clips with different fram= erates than sequence setting, I got .f4v files showing up as offlined, and = one particular .mp4 file had its framerate changed from 23.98 to "0.01". Th= at particular file displayed as solid green color in the program window. I = shared the suspect clips with Adobe and Matrox personnel. After much testin= g (and updating NVIDIA drivers) it was decided that my install had been cor= rupted. I rolled back to 7.0.0 and got a whole new set of problems: the "A= udiowaveform.cpp-173" error, which caused an immediate crash upon opening m= y major projects. Thinking about it, I decided to run the updates again, this time selecting = only Pr and Pr-related apps for update. After running update the second tim= e, and only on Pr apps, Premiere began to work properly again. Basically to= ok a week of troubleshooting and reinstalling to come to that solution. However - I'm using premiere pro version 6.0.5 and updated yesterday after = experiencing issues but no change. I work on a PC, Windows 8.1. My routin= e has been pretty simple. I've been working in AE 6, outputting files to D= NxHD, importing in to premiere and normally no problem. It may also import= a file that didn't work on a second try or after restarting premiere. In my mind, clearly a premiere issue. I did also do some conversions to Pr= oRes using CINEC, also a standard procedure and it's had same symptoms with= both before and after.
