Deadline hands down! It's the best render manager I've ever used and deals all the non standard aerender craziness pretty well. It's all Python, comes with excellent submitters, great support, well priced, and has lots of really nice admin features. And Draft is so awesome, way better than FFMPEG for post processing tasks. My team has very heavy render experience (like Blue Sky and Weta films) and we've used almost every major package out there. Deadline is the best so far. I haven't used Smedge but the rest of the team hates it, apparently theres a lot of things that fall apart under heavy usage and lots of nodes, for a small farm it might be fine. Good luck.
