Have you checked the Application Support folders in the = Library folders? I find that these get clogged up with cache files so I = do a weekly, manual clean of these.

You need to go to = both;

Users/Yourname/Library. In the Finder, hold down Option and = click on the Go menu, this will allow you to open the Library folder = (usually hidden)

The After Effects disk cache folders can get = pretty big. I advise having them on a separate drive.

You may = also want to check the root library folder too; /Library

Hope = this helps.

Running OS 10.8.5

What is causing this and how do I = get rid of it?

thanks
