The AMD cards in the new Mac Pro are optimised for OpenCL, AE ray-tracing uses CUDA.

Options are:
1. buy another computer with a CUDA card (Nvidia)
2. switch to different software (I hear Final Cut Pro X makes good use of the cards)

4. put up with CPU rendering

Sorry for the bad news.

I hope it wasn't your money!

Hello Guys and Girls,

my client just purchased a Mac Pro with a Mac Pro graphics card. To my surprise
After Effects CC doesnt recognise the graphics card and hence I cant accelerate
my ray traced 3D projects.

Any ideas on how to resolve this??

Thank you
Peter
