It's a recurring problem I've nailed down to either a driver conflict error or something in AE that doesn't like some piece of hardware or running service. - The BSOD says "BAD POOL HEADER" - probably from some software trying to address the same piece of memory address space twice - I don't get any crash logs - it only happens when trying to render in AE. I thought it was the overclock or a RAM issue but prime95 running at full load for 8 hours seems to have proved otherwise - When I reinstalled AE CC it worked fine again for a while, then it just started again - I created a new windows user profile and so far rendering seems fine in the new profile, but I will have to reconfigure a lot of stuff - gonna run chkdsk and memtest86 overnight to make sure there's no hardware issues - backed up all critical drives anyway Any other bright ideas welcome. for now I'm working on my backup machine -TG On Thu, Apr 17, 2014 at 12:56 PM, rendernyc wrote: > i dont believe it autosaves until you save... save early and often :) > > but if you crashed you may find a crash file. > > on osx sometimes they appear in your docs folder called After Effects > Crash_1.aep, After Effects Crash_2.aep, etc > > > On Thu, Apr 17, 2014 at 12:20 PM, Teddy Gage wrote: > >> Just lost about 30 minutes of work on a project I had just started but >> hadn't saved yet.
