I've been asked to match some styles of title animation that are unfamiliar to me. Besides mimicking the samples, I've got to build up my repertoire and chops for animating titles in general.  My title animation chops are rusty and will not happen overnight but will be a priority for this new client.

In the meantime I've used and reviewed a good number of (the stock) AE animated text presets but find that many are too "showboat & gimmicky for good work-a-day use.  Alternatives?  (someone also TypeMonkey, great stuff but probably too in-your-face for this client)
