I have used nodes a fair amount, it works great - very fast and stable. It is not super intuitive though and has a relatively steep learning curve - I'd highly recommend doing about 2-3 hours of tutorials, although the presets that it comes with are quite usable, and don't look "out of the box". There is a ton of depth to it.

My only complaint is that it is limited to Mac OSX

I recently stumbled upon this plug-in and am wondering if anyone has experience with it and can let me know if it is a render hog or crashy. It looks amazing for visualizing information but also seems like it may be a render hog or not work well with other layers in a comp.
