I’ve got a project that’s set to Adobe RGB. It’s set to 8-bit.

I’m rendering out an image sequence to a quicktime movie (Photo-jpeg 94%). When I import the rendered movie  it’s miscolored, telling me that the embedded profile is: HDTV (Rec. 709) Y’CbCr

I’m unable to change what profile AE is using. Everything in Interpret Footage’s color management section is grayed out. I’ve turned color management on and off at the project level and it makes no difference. It seems like I _should_ be able to turn on Preserver RGB.

Anyone have any idea what’s going on?

If I save it out as Prores 422 it’s fine. So, that’s a solution… but I’m curious what’s happening with PJPEG. The colors are REALLY off, so it seems like a profile problem, not a limitation of the codec.

Cheers,

Jim
