Hey all

Was wondering if, besides the organizational benefits, is there a computational benefit to pre-comping particles? If I pre-comp a Particular set-up and use it multiple times in a comp will the particles be calculated just once, even though the RGB values will be calculated and rendered additively. Assuming the particle pre-comp plays back at the exact frame.

If not, I may as well keep the particle outside of a pre-comp, on a layer and randomize the seed value. If the calculation hit is there anyway. Does that  make sense?
