Nice, just hope AE can ramp up. I could use a comp that size right now for my photographic reconstruction of the universe, well part of it, about 35%.

But  seriously, this proposal looks fantastic. I would build into your Kickstarter some funds to explore having GPU acceleration of playback of the format available.

Can't wait for you to launch this. Will definitely give as much as I can as your JPG2000 codec in AE has been the key part of my DCP biz for years now.

A film is - or should be - more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what's behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later.

Yes, naturally the Adobe and QuickTime plug-ins will be Mac and Windows, but the POM library will be cross-platform and work on Linux and any other OS that has a C++ compiler.  The Nuke plug-in will be made for Linux as well as Mac and Win.

MXF appears to use a 32-bit integer to specify dimensions, so the maximum frame size is 4294967295 pixels on a side.  I think that should keep us pretty future-proof.  ;)
