Single F= ile MXF !!!!!

folder based MXF is a F'ing nightmare = to deal with. In fact I don't deal with it. First thing I do with MXF m= edia is Clip Wrap it to single mov's. I can then media manage and do th= ings like toss out bad shots, trim shots, ect. copying MXF clips from one f= older into a new MXF folder isn't media management, its perpetuating th= e mess. =C2=A0I have one project with 80gb of MXF media for 2 or 3 5 secs s= hots. I'd love to extract those shots and toss the other mess thats use= less to me, but thats another story.=C2=A0

single file would mean I could name clips directly in O= S and not stuck with Clip00001 buried in the MXF folder structure.=C2=A0

i didn't read all specs
but one fe= ature i see that could be needed is some frame by frame text
that we could use to store standardly formatted data

per= haps xyz coordinates of some points,
to be used on playback time
(driving lighting or motion cont= rolled rig or anything else )
and sound space information

and subtitles
