hmmm... just did a google on this model, and it says its a TN panel and not IPS, so i would definately not recommend it for anything colorwise.


But nice to see UHD monitors getting down in price, but it will take a little while longer to get IPS or similar quality UHD panels down in price.

In case anyone is looking for a UHD/4K monitor for a mac that won't break the bank, check out the new Samsung U28D590D(~$600).  It is a true 60Hz 3840x2160 display.  I am using it with a GTX680 card in a MP tower (10.9.2) without a problem.   You card must have displayport to get the 60hz refresh rate.  Makes a great AE monitor with LOTS of screen space, although your sight has to be pretty good to see the text at that resolution. :)

Anyway, I thought I would pass this along if anyone is in the market for such a screen but didn't want to pay the $3k most are going for.
